Mayhem Miller renews longstanding Dana White beef like only he can

Dana White has a Mayhem Miller problem.  Today, Mayhem accused Dana White of catching an STD from a friend of Mayhem’s in the past, an event that lead to marital problems.

To understand this potentially defaming development, it is worth reviewing the history of their mutual disdain., which really became official for the first time in August 2012, after Mayhem lost his final fight in the UFC to C.B. Dolloway. Following the fight, Miller allegedly “went off on a female staffer who refused him a beer backstage, leading to [an] ugly scene followed by [his] release from the roster. Thereafter, Dana responded to a Tweet by Mayhem and the following excerpts from their exchange occurred.

Dana White @danawhite: lol retire Mayhem I’M BEGGIN U!!!

Jason Mayhem Miller ‏@mayhemmiller: Kill yourself @danawhite we are all begging you.

Dana White @danawhite: u never won 1 fight in the UFC and ur last 2 showings were embarrassing to say the least.

Dana White immediately regretted the exchange. “I was joking,” White said. “And then as the Tweeting went on, you saw that, that kid’s on medicine, and he has some issues, and the last thing I want to do is have that kid bummed out and more depressed than he already is.”

“I actually feel bad about it.”

He was right.  Two days after their exchange, Mayhem was arrested on burglary charges when he allegedly broke into a church, got naked and destroyed some property.

In October 2012, Miller continued to behave erratically.  He appeared on the MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani, attempting to portray his Here Comes the Boom movie character “Lucky Patrick.” Mayhem grew increasingly agitated, climbed onto a table, threw around some MMA figurines, jacked a t-shirt, and stormed off the set. He later characterized his bizarre behavior as an intentional “social experiment.” But it seemed doubtful that his behavior was merely a calculated foray into performance art.

On October 28th, Mayhem aggressively confronted an alleged ex-girlfriend at an event. The situation escalated into a physical confrontation when UFC fighter Uriah Hall intervened. Miller controversially called Hall a “bitch ass n-word.”

When asked the next day whether Hall would be disciplined for the incident, Dana White Tweeted, “fuck no!!! I’m gonna give him a bonus!!!”

In June 2013, Mayhem returned to provoking White on Twitter, accusing him of blocking the unionization of MMA.  He tweeted, “I already know why it’s not legal in NY, @danawhite. You keep blocking every attempt at a fighters union, firing everyone who suggests one.”

The following month he continued his campaign, accusing accused Dana White of killing the sport in a post on the Underground forum.

“Dana White has killed the sport that you and i love. The refusal to build stars. The reward for standing and wanging. THE UNIFIED RULES, have all killed the sport of mixed martial arts. I come to you humbly, as a student and teacher of the mixed martial arts. A man that has never tapped out, or been knocked out in mixed martial arts competition and ask that you do not support a corporate monarchy that favors a mark in the Win column, over showcasing the ART of MMA.”

Then in August, Mayhem was back in jail, another development that seemed to contradict his claims that he was merely engaging in a clever social experiment.  He was arrested twice in a two-week period for alleged domestic violence.  Posting on his website as “J. Mayhem Lion,” he weirdly apologized for the incidents, saying, “I and I beg for forgiveness. If I have brought shame or pain upon [victim’s name redacted], her Father, her Mother, her Sister, her children and Shiloh. Know this; JAH THE ALMIGHTY SHALL JUDGE AND NO-MAN. I APOLOGIZE WITH ALL MY HEART, DURING THE MOST CHALLENGING TIME OF MY life, I ask only for YOU TO UNNASTAN. 33.”

According to a representative of SciFighting, he behaved bizarrely at his court hearing.

“Mayhem Miller’s alleged victim, known to the court as Ana Pricilla (but known to Mayhem as Anna Stable), says that during the second assault case she was urinated on and choked until she fell on the floor, where she was punched and kicked viciously,” said a representative of SciFighting who attended the hearing. “In defense, Mayhem’s attorney stated that the victim was asked to leave the house, and Jason’s father witnessed her attacking Jason. At this point in the hearing, Judge Manssourian scolded Mayhem because he was making faces and nodding his head in every direction. The fighter apologized, explaining he is “an expressive person” and that he’s “an artist”. The judge dismissed his statements, and advised him he is best served to be silent and allow his attorney to speak on his behalf.”

Around the time of his arrest, Mayhem escalated his now-habitual Twitter campaign against Dana White. This time, he did it in a way that could be perceived as a threat, tweeting, “FIRST MY CHURCH, NOW MY GIRL. @DANAWHITE TELL YOUR GUY IN THE VAN TO CLUTCH HIS PIECE WHEN HE SEE ME COMIN.”

2013 was a bad year for Mayhem Miller, marked with signs of legitimately dangerous instability.  And this January, he admitted in an interview with MMAInterviews.tv, “This whole 2013, pretty unlucky number for me.” But after training for a year at Kings MMA in Hunting Beach under Rafael Cordiero, he claimed to be entertaining “a couple legitimate offers” to return to fighting. Things appeared to be looking up.

Now, of course, Mayhem is back to posting something about Dana White that, if untrue, might amount to serious defamation.  And while people will probably enjoy speculating whether or not Dana White misbehaved as Miller is describing, the more urgent question is whether “Lucky Patrick” will avoid another 2013 before his luck runs out.
