Alien Isolation is out and it is scaring the hell out of everyone. Despite mixed reviews on the highly-anticipated survival-horror title, Isolation still has its fair share of moments that remind you how terrifying Aliens are (especially ones who quite literally use rape as a weapon). Developers The Creative Assembly worked their asses off trying to make this Alien game one that people will remember for stunning next-gen graphics and edge-of-your-seat thrills, not unforgivably bad A.I. or predictable jump scares that plagued previous Alien titles.
One guy decided to try Isolation out with an Oculus Rift, and turn everything around him into a living, breathing nightmare.
Oculus Rift, for those who don’t know, is a like an updated Virtual Boy that you wear on your head. Your vision is narrowed to only that of the game world making it perfect for horror games to make you crap yourself in the comfort of your own living room. Couple those effects with a game like Alien: Isolation, which plays on claustrophobia and the fact that you’re being systematically hunted, and you have a recipe for an early grave via heart attack.
The results were as you would imagine when one of the Aliens from the game jumped out and surprised this guy.
