- Brendan Allen wants his next fight to be included in the massive UFC 300 event
- “All In” has now gone unbeaten in six consecutive fights
After securing a submission victory over Paul Craig at UFC Vegas 82, Brendan Allen is now looking at a potential Top-5 contender as his next opponent. For “All In” it doesn’t really matter who the UFC wants him to face as long as it happens at UFC 300.
UFC 300 sounds good
Speaking to reporters in his UFC Vegas 82 post-fight presser, Allen was asked to pick between Khamzat Chimaev or Robert Whittaker as his next opponent. Allen quickly replied and pointed out that the name is not important as all he cares about is that it should help him earn a title shot and hopefully it gets booked for UFC 300.
“Whoever Mick [Maynard], Hunter [Campbell], and Dana [White] say, that’s who we’re fighting,” Allen said. “Whoever they say that, if you win this, you’re guaranteed a title shot, that’s who I’m fighting. The name doesn’t matter.
“I’ve worked my a** off to get here. I’ve sacrificed so much to get here in my personal life and every other part of my life. I’m going to go home, I’m going to go hunting, I’m going to be a dad, we’re going to have a good time, we’re going to enjoy the holidays, and come April or hopefully around that time, hopefully, UFC 300. I’m coming,” he continued.
Brendan thinks he deserves it
UFC Vegas 82 was Allen’s second headliner fight under the UFC banner. The way he sees it, he already is a big-name in the promotion and to be included in such a massive event like UFC 300 should be a no-brainer.
“I hope the UFC 300, I think that would be a pretty cool event. Obviously, I’ve main-evented now. [I’ve] done it on short notice before, I fought all of these guys, I think it’d be pretty cool… It’d just be cool to be part of an event like that, [it will] have a lot of eyes, a lot of things going on… My stuff would probably fly under the radar but again it’s just an experience. I’m trying to chase experiences cuz no matter what I’m 27, I’m going to be 28 in a month or so I haven’t even hit my prime yet so the best years, the best moments are still to come. I’m just trying to take one step at a time,” Allen explained.
The win over Craig saw Allen improving his impressive winning streak to six in a row. However, it is yet to be known if “All In” would climb up a spot in the current middleweight rankings.
