Sexyama is injured, and Siyar Bahadurzada vs. Thiago Pitbull Alves is set for UFC 149

Paulo Thiago was considered one of the UFC welterweight division’s most durable athletes until he stepped into the cage with Siyar Bahadurzada last month. The fight came down to one uppercut that sent the Brazilian’s consciousness into outer space, where Paulo got a chance to high five E.T. before returning to an Octagon in Stockholm, Sweden where dozens of doctors were reviving him with flashlights and organic smelling salts. In fact, ten of the last twelve opponents suffered the same fate at the hands of the Afghanistan born fighter who spent his childhood dodging bullets and collecting spent ammunition as a hobby. It’s really a bummer that Sexyama had to get pulled from UFC 149 due to injury, but we think it’s stellar that Siyar Bahadurzada gets to step in against Thiago Alves in what’s sure to be the best Canadian event of 2012. We’re huge fans of fistfights, and both of these guys like to make sure we stay fans of fistfights with unequivocal knockout power. Props to Joe Silva for understanding what keeps us waking up and blending acai + gunpowder smoothies every morning. [Source]
