A couple of years ago, my ex-girlfriend told me that if she encountered Renato Sobral, she would leave me for him. It was cool, I just wanted her to come back with a three-paragraph essay on how it was. Babalu has always been one of my favorite fighters. I was one of the few who actually predicted Babalu would defeat Lawler at Strikeforce LA and I will brag about this until I get some type of reward for my soothsaying accomplishment. Then again, there was a guy on The Underground that had a dream Fedor would get KOd by Dan Henderson. Perhaps he’s the real MMA Nostradamus and I’m just an imitator.
Babalu shares his name with a porn star. Bet you didn’t know that. He also fights Tatsuya Mizuno on June 23rd in ONE FC: Destiny of Warriors. There’s a good chance you didn’t know that either.
