It’s Monday and I could go in on how cruddy and terrible it is to have to get up and suffer through a stop and go commute to work, how I didn’t get much sleep last night because I was stressing over a water leak in my laundry closet, or how the barista at Starbucks screwed up my seven dollar latte experience by giving me vanilla instead of salted caramel. But after reading about Wanderlei Silva losing his father in tragic car accident over the weekend, all of that stuff just doesn’t seem worthy of wasting time to complain about. Watching this video of Wand and his father (released just days before his Dad unexpectedly lost his life) is the perfect reminder for today that sometimes you just have to forget about the daily trite and minuscule worries, exhale and look around and be thankful for the family, friends, love and life you have surrounding you. RIP Holando Silva.
