Dong Hyun Kim says 90% of UFC fighters are on performance enhancing drugs

I have a friend that I call ‘Stun Gun Kim’ solely because he’s Korean and his last name is Kim. Granted, it’s a pretty stereotypical thing for me to do. The Stun Gun Kim I know was actually on the opposite end of a stun gun when he climbed behind a DJ booth in New Jersey, knocked the vinyl off the turntable and told the DJ to ‘play more Wu-Tang.’ He ended up scrapping with a few bouncers outside just before being subdued by 4,500,000 volts of electricity. None of that is made up. The first time I met him, we ended up shoeless in a car on the side of the highway near Mexico. He lurks on MiddleEasy, so I’m almost certain he will be able to validate all these claims. Kim also advocates inpatient drug rehab.

There’s also another Stun Gun Kim. One that has a 16-2-1 record in the UFC. In a recent interview with Korea’s MFight, Kim stated that he estimates 90% of all fighters in the UFC use performance enhancers.

While a lot of people believe doping tests work, just like a breathalyzer test you can get away with it by just controlling timing. Most of the steroids user just cycle and get by the tests. It’s almost like other athletes look down on you as an idiot if you don’t do steroids. It’s like non-users are bicyclists while steroid users are racing with motorcycles. But I am one of those “idiots” that don’t use performance enhancers. I would say 90% of UFC fighters use performance enhancers.

That’s 9 out of 10 fighters are juiced up on PEDs. Based on Kim’s estimation, there’s a damn good chance even your favorite fighter is on performance enhancing drugs. Another word for ‘performance enhancing drugs’ for MMA fans is a 12-pack of Bud Light and an overinflated sense of self-worth.
