Streets of Rage basically imagines the United States as violently chaotic as Iraq, but a country that refuses to leave the fashion sense of 1991. In the original game, two of the three protagonists rock primary-colored head bands — which judging by the advent of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, was just the thing to do around that time.
Unfortunately this newly-released trailer for ‘Streets of Rage: Redemption’ doesn’t hold those same ethics from the early 90s. The cheese that could have been injected into this film would have literally murdered people that are lactose intolerant. The film seems to be an updated version from its previous digital incarnation, which means a lot more ‘serious dialogue’ moments and a lot less thugs on roller blades rocking neon-lined tank tops.
