Dana White says JDS vs. Velasquez is the greatest trilogy in UFC history, do you agree?

If you’ve followed MMA for more than a year then you already know the entire industry exists on a steady diet of pure hyperbole. Everything is always the greatest thing in the history of everything. Nothing is ever in between or closely approaching the best. Not at all. Every event allegedly produces ‘the greatest [insert thing] of in [insert promotion] history.’ This article is the greatest Junior dos Santos vs. Cain Velasquez III article in MiddleEasy history — and it’s impossible to prove otherwise.

So is Junior dos Santos vs. Cain Velasquez III the greatest trilogy in UFC history as Dana stated in this Sexto Round interview? Well, it very well may be. Ken Shamrock vs. Tito Ortiz was just a money-making chain of events that was so one-sided it was borderline hilarious. BJ Penn vs. Frankie Edgar — although I enjoyed it (and thought BJ Penn won the first fight), it’s still not a ‘great’ trilogy.

Dana White may be on to something in this brief interview, or perhaps I’m just carelessly skipping over a rubbermatch in my mental rolodex.
