The first time I met Daniel Cormier, he was showing Ariel Helwani an iPhone app he just downloaded. It was called ‘iTranslate’ and he was communicating to Fabricio Werdum in Portuguese via text. He thought it was one of the greatest cellular inventions in this decade, and it’s pretty hard not to agree with him. I remember when the most prolific lyric in hip-hop was ‘Switched from Motorola to a Primeco phone‘. In the 1990s, people judged your status in society by the probability of you owning a Primeco phone. Remarkable. The determination of whether you were a ‘baller’ was directly influenced by your cellular provider. That company doesn’t even exist anymore. I think it’s safe to say that when archeologists unearth all the relics from the 21st century, scientists will credit Lil Troy for the decline of civilization. Hopefully these same archeologists will also discover this video of yet another guy calling out Daniel Cormier.
