If you ever talk to Marina Shafir over a cold Heineken in Amsterdam, she’ll tell you the story of how she has the ability to sense earthquakes. Since most of you guys will never be in that scenario, Marina claims that when she visited Cuba as a kid for a judo tournament, she was taking a shower and felt a certain atmospheric pressure in her ears. Marina quickly got out the shower and literally minutes later an earthquake hit Cuba and caused a tsunami warning for the rest of that day. A couple of weeks ago a pretty brutal earthquake hit Southern California and I was on the phone with Marina as she was trying to super glue parts of a marble chessboard LayzieTheSavage accidentally broke when he was playing FIFA 14. As we were talking about the final episode of True Detective, Marina stopped the entire conversation and told me there would be an earthquake hitting California and that I should probably get in a doorway to brace myself for it. I immediately threw on some clothes, put some shoes on, and within seconds of me standing in the door frame, we felt a pretty decent quake in Hollywood.
Therefore if Marina Shafir’s mutant ability is to sense earthquakes, what the hell can her superhuman-like fighting be attributed to? Was she gamma radiated in a lab as a kid? @FrontRowBrian needs to figure this mystery out.
Oh, Marina Shafir said she will be ready for Cris Cyborg in a year and a half, which really means she’ll be able to fully dominate Cris Cyborg in a year and a half. At least that’s how I interpret her statement in this FightHub video.
