The MMA world has changed so much in the past five years. It’s strange to think that in 2010 is when Anderson Silva and Chael Sonnen had their first fight. That’s just not something I’m willing to accept, because I’m pretty sure that happened maybe two years ago at most. Saying that Anderson and Chael’s first fight was four years ago, is just not an accurate statement. It can’t be.
Another distant memory that feels like it was just yesterday when it was around is the WEC. Nearly four years ago the WEC merged with the UFC. Oh how we miss you WEC. Your Sunday night cards were the best, I was already home and had nothing else going on. Your small cage just brought the most exciting of fights. Your all 155 and under cards (at least later on in your life) that I’d go in watching with zero expectations always blew me away. I miss you, I know you had to die, but it doesn’t make the pain subside.
