Chris Lytle wants to read your kid his new anti-bullying bedtime story

Everyone dreams of finishing their career on top. The reality however, is far less romantic. There are only a certain number of seats at the table and usually you’re not invited. Instead you’re relegated to the kid’s table where dinner rolls are scarce along with elbow room. Go ahead, call me a pessimist but I always set the bar low – under promise and hopefully deliver, right?!

The same cannot be said for former UFC welterweight Chris Lytle. The man who ran for the Indiana State Senate was able to finish his career on top. No, not as UFC welterweight champion but Lytle retired his way – earning two fight bonuses en route to a submission victory over Dan Hardy. And now he’s taking his special brand of carnage to the literary world.

Lytle’s book, ‘Lights Out on Bullying’ details the journey of a school bully named Johnny who dreams of one day becoming a Mixed Martial Artist so he can legally kick the crap out of people for a living. All that changes when, you guessed it, UFC legend Chris Lytle speaks to his class about hard work, leadership and not kicking the living crap out of people. Will Johnny be good or will his primal instinct to harm those with inferior physical attributes take over? I guess you’ll have to pay $3.99 on Amazon to find out.
