After three long years away from the sport, you could say Cruz had some pent up beatdowns that were ready to be unleashed, and poor Mizugaki had to be the first to feel the champ’s wrath. Cruz had beatdown blue balls, and he was relieved tonight in the most magnificent manner possible.
Dominick Cruz violated Mizugaki. He showed his classic footwork, his legendary takedowns, and then decided to beat down Mizugaki almost in an attempt to one-up Urijah Faber’s near-manslaughter from years ago in the WEC. Dominick Cruz is the bantamweight champion. I don’t care who has the belt. Welcome back, Mr. Cruz. We missed you.
