Hendricks vs Lawler is still the best fight of 2014, so let’s watch it again, together

2014 has been a blur for the UFC and not in a flattering way. If you put a gun to my head, I’m not even sure I can tell you more than one fight from that would be considered a fight of the year candidate for the promotion.

There is one fight that stands out in my mind clearly and distinctly and that fight is the welterweight title fight between Johny Hendricks and Robbie Lawler.

I remember exactly where I was and what I was doing for this fight. I was at a T.G.I. Friday’s because the people that go there when there’s a fight on aren’t there to watch the fight, which couldn’t be better for me, as there are few things I hate more than watching sports with strangers since chances are, they are morons and I want nothing to do with them. Anyways, back to the important things, it was happy hour… or something? I don’t know, all I know is that desserts were half off and I decided to get a salted caramel vanilla cake, it was the worst cake I’ve ever gotten at a restaurant. It was super hard and flakey, I can’t even describe how awful it was.

Anyways, the fight did make up for it. So lesson learned, watch Johny Hendricks and Robbie Lawler fight, don’t order desserts at T.G.I. Friday’s even if it is half off.
