Last month, Deontay “The Bronze Bomber” Wilder promised to post a video of himself fighting one of his fans if his Facebook page crested the 5000-like mark. If you haven’t heard, he’s an exciting boxing prospect with a bewildering 32-0 record, all somehow by way of knockout. And on January 17th, he’ll fight Bermane Stiverne for the WBC heavyweight title. But forget organized boxing. He’s promised to assault a fan. That’s real entertainment.
Just one week after he issued the promise, Dontay was just 1,200 likes short of his goal. The boxing world was on pins and needles.
Then it happened. A retired homemaker in Georgia nervously clicked a button on her standard issue Dell mouse, sealing the fate of a fan she had never met. To her presumed horror, Deontay has just followed through with his promise. The video starts, he throws a nasty uppercut, and there is no doubt: that sh*t really did hit the fan.
