Jimi 2.0: Is Ben Manuwa the next big sibling prospect in MMA?

If you like a particular fighter, it’s always exciting when you learn that they have a sibling. Take the Emelianenko brothers, for instance. Yes, we all knew about Fedor and Aleks around the same time. But recall, for a moment, the first time you learned about the existence of Ivan Emelianenko. “Fedor has another brother?!” you gasped, picturing the powerful outline of some clandestine family biological weapon. You imagined him training high-level Sambo in a Stary Oskol bunker. And then you read that Fedor interview where he said Ivan lacked drive and ambition.

“. . . he is not shooting for huge success either,” Fedor said, crushing our dreams. “At the very least, he is not ready for any sacrifices in order to reach certain results, unlike me, for example. And that`s normal.”

But for every Ivan Emelianenko, there is a Nate Diaz. For every Jason Guida, there is a Dan or Jim Miller. And now, for every Jimi Manuwa, there is a promising brother Ben. Yes, we all want Ben Manuwa to be the next big sibling prospect in MMA. Because we all indulge in these genetic dreams once in a while, hoping for a Diaz brothers repeat. And now you can watch some great backstage footage of his most recent victory at Fusion Fighting Championship here:
