Crocop did his thing and he did it good. Ring in the New Year with a LHK from the past

It’s a tradition in my house to celebrate New Years Eve by winding the clock forward and pretending we’re in Japan. But instead of flashing lights and a bunch of crazy and amazing Japanese stereotypes, it’s me on the couch, alone, in the dark with a bottle of gin. However, that’s still better than anything the United States can offer because New Years Eve is the worst holiday of the year and spectacle-based Japanese MMA is the best thing when you’re drunk.
 
Well this year it was even better. The main event of Inoki Bom-Ba-Ye 2014 was a rematch between Mirko Cro Cop (still not his real name) Filipovic and Satoshi Iishi. I could give you a breakdown of the fight and the entire card but if you REALLY cared then you would have joined me on my couch at 2am. So here’s the gist of it:

 

2014 was a rough year for MMA but I can’t be thankful enough that the last significant strike of the year was a Cro Cop Left High Kick.
