Reebok Rewards Other Jon Jones Without Drug Testing Him First

NEW YORK, New York, January 11th, 2015 — One would think that after the world learned that UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon “Bones” Jones is a recreational user of the drug “cocaine” (commonly known as coke — ed) that they would be more careful with their sponsorships. Reebok has decided to support Jon Jones through his coke-fueled PR disaster and wishes him the best in his time at an undisclosed resort for an undisclosed amount of time. That’s not all that they’ve done, though.

According to these reports via Twitter.com Reebok has decided to sign an endorsement deal with ANOTHER Jon Jones as well. There was talk of a Twitter mix-up, but I’m unsure of how someone could confuse @JonnyBones with @JonJones. One has a lion in his profile photo and is the UFC Light Heavyweight Champion, the other is some videogame guy that is white, much like this reporter. In a crafty move by Reebok they decided to sponsor this other Jon Jones as well while Jon “Bones” Jones is away getting his head screwed on straight.

We’d commend them for covering all of their bases, but there is one glaring oversight by Reebok here; @JonJones was never drug tested. Sending articles of clothing to another Jon Jones without knowing his T/E levels or what kind of recreational drugs are in his system is setting themselves up for another disaster. What if this Jon Jones uses meth? What if he is on TRT? Bad move, Reebok. Bad move.
