Athletic and explosive. Here’s Miesha Tate doing a bunch of back flips

If Miesha Tate lands a back flip off the cage against Jessica Eye you’ll know the real reason why. While other UFC fighters are cross training boxing or Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, former Strikeforce champ Miesha Tate has taken to the tumble mats to well-round her game. Team Tate has always stated they had some tricks up their sleeveless tees just in case “Cupcake” gets a third match with current UFC 135 pound champ Ronda Rousey.

In the paper, rock, scissors strategy sessions of modern MMA the best defense for Olympic level Judo is none other than low level  gymnastics.  Just tumble right out of all your opponent’s submission attempts while you back flip counter all their striking efforts. Pick up your jaws off the floor and watch as Tate masters the way of an obscure martial art that features nothing but flips, tumbles, and maybe the occasional ribbon dance.
