Chris Weidman is a really good fighter, a great champion, but he’s also probably the most boring champion in UFC history. Not since Dave Menne or Bustamante has a champion failed to enrapture the imaginations of a fight fan. This, with having Weidman destroy Anderson Silva. Chris Weidman should just embrace his east coast bro-dom and hang out on the jersey shore, training and getting his hair trimmed. Maybe have him do another 5-10 jewelry store promos. That will get me interested.
As it is now, Weidman just bores me, and even if a belt is on the line, I can’t bring myself to give a fuck. Vanilla is vanilla.
