John Makdessi hung in there against Mr. Donald Cerrone for a few minutes, but eventually Cerrone was able to chip away with a host of maneuvers that proved that he’s one of the elite in the division. When Makdessi tried to move in, Cerrone would dice him up with various knees, elbows and combinations. It was a violent thing of beauty, and something that will have to be remembered, the next time a relatively out of their league fighter decides to step up and take on Cowboy.
Case and point – this perfect back elbow. Look at it devastate Makdessi before Cerrone would go on to break his jaw with a vicious head kick. This was almost unfair.
