Like that time Ben Askren hung around an UFC event or that time Tito Ortiz waved to the CBS cameras, but not like that time Jake Shields and Dana White started a bro-mance, Nick Diaz is back fist posing with Bellator president Scott Coker. A happy Diaz is a fun Diaz. Appearing backstage at Bellator fights events could the beginning of something cool or a road to nothing?
With house bill 800 allowing up to 30 medical marijuana dispensaries currently being debated in the Missouri House of Representatives, Diaz is probably just touring the greater St. Louis area seeing the sights. Diaz will ride Missouri public transportation, take in a Cardinals’ game, climb the Arch, tour the Anheuser-Busch Brewery, and do other touristy things to become St. Louis super-fan number 209.
Hanging in the Gateway to the West, the possibility of Diaz beating up Bellator welter and middleweights in the future are kind of slim. Whether it’s in the UFC, Strikeforce, Pride, or whatever it is Bellator calls their cage, Nick Diaz will be doing interesting stuff. Stay tuned for more chill updates.
