Alistair Overeem tweets out UFC’s potential December 5th Cowboys Stadium card, let’s try to top it

The Super Bowl of mixed martial arts finally in a stadium that can actually host a Super Bowl. If the UFC is going to hold an event at Cowboys Stadium in Texas the card will have to be stacked. Yes, the fight line-up will have to be even more stacked than “UFC 73: Stacked”.

Stacks on stacks Dana White man.

While chilling at his home doing Uber-Reem stuff, UFC heavyweight contender Alistair Overeem received a text message with a potential fight card for a mythical UFC event at Cowboys Stadium on December 5th. In 2009, Cowboys Stadium broke the record for a NFL regular season game with 105,121 fans screaming crazy football catchphrases.

Make some standing room only areas, pluck down the UFC’s Octagon at the 50 yard line, and Zuffa could easily fit over 110,000 “Just Bleed” MMA fans into Cowboys Stadium. But it has to be a near perfect UFC card in order to achieve a sellout.

Is it possible to top Overeem’s and the UFC’s fantasy super-card mock up? Let’s try.

  • Jose Aldo vs. Conor McGregor
  • Ronda Rousey vs. Cyborg Santos
  • Fedor Emelianenko vs. Brock Lesnar
  • Anderson Silva vs. Georges St. Pierre
  • Alistair Overeem vs. Badr Hari

Four man one night UFC 205 pound tournament for the vacant title

  • Daniel Cormier vs. Alexander Gustafsson
  • Anthony Johnson vs. Mystery opponent

You can’t top the bad blood and marketing spent on Jose Aldo versus Conor McGregor so that unification title fight stays put. Rousey vs. Cyborg as a three round catch-weight bout is a better fight than Rowdy vs. Cupcake III. So the UFC somehow signs Fedor, so why don’t they borrow Brock Lesnar from the WWE for one more fight to make “The GOAT’s” Octagon debut legendary.

If we’re bringing folks out of retirement, let’s make Anderson Silva and GSP finally settle it inside the cage in another epic catch-weight super-fight! Overeem helped bring this card together so he meets rival Badr Hari in a cage, with four ounces gloves, in order to avenge his last kickboxing loss.

Finally the UFC opens the Cowboys Stadium super mega card festivities by stealing Bellator’s four man light heavyweight tourney idea but this time with belts on the line. You take Daniel Cormier’s interim belt and Jon Jones real belt and you hang them above the cage while the four best 205 pound fighters on Earth compete in a mini-tournament. Wait? What’s that? Who is Anthony Johnson mystery opponent? Holy Shit that’s Jon Jones’ music!
