No one is going to deny Holly Holm’s accolades in the sport of boxing or even MMA, but one can only look at the quality of opponents she’s faced in her climb to the title shot, and wonder if she’ll even last a minute against Ronda Rousey. The big question is if Ronda wants to take it to the ground. If Ronda wants it to go to the mat, it will go to the mat. If she wants to test her increasingly dangerous standup, then that’s another question, and I actually think Holm might have a puncher’s chance, but it’s still Ronda allowing that chance to even exist. Such is the power of the Rousey.
On Inside MMA, Holly Holm let loose her fears over facing Ronda, and got real on her chances. It’s an interesting look into a fighter who is a champion, but still might be out of her league.
