Replay: Whoa, UFC fighter Sara McMann got tapped by 16 year old Alex Enriquez at a jiu-jitsu tourney

Never underestimate your opponent. 10 to 15 years ago it wasn’t that rare to see your favorite Pride or UFC fighter rolling around in jiu-jitsu tournaments. In 2015, it is kind of a rare occurrence for full time UFC athletes to put themselves out there on the BJJ mats in a tournament format.

Former Ronda Rousey victim and 2004 Olympic silver medalist in wrestling, Sara McMann was on the wrong end of an upset at a recent Kakuto Submission jiu-jitsu challenge event. In the open weight division tournament McMann was paired with 16 year old up and comer Alexandria Enriquez. 34 year old UFC fighter, Olympic athlete and wrestling badass versus teenage jiu-jitsu player could only go one way right?

Nope. Behold the power of jiu-jitsu and the underdog heart of Enriquez.
