Halo: The Masterchief Collection will drown you in gaming nostalgia

Halo 2 is near and dear to my heart. Each day I’d come home from high school and I’d turn on my Xbox 360, which was my first console that I had with an internet connection. I’d grab a coke, sit down and proceed to play Halo 2 until ten o’clock. Everyone would be slowly popping up online, I would play a bunch of team hardcore on Lockout with human weapons, because let’s be honest sword and n00b combo are just the worst. This went on for years and years. It was my favorite online multiplayer game and it still is. I just went to a lan party last year to solely play Halo 2, it felt like it was 2006 all over again. Eating pizza, drinking two liters of soda, in a room with eight different TVs.

Thankfully Microsoft has learned from the mistake that was the Halo CE anniversary collection. Which was essentially a pretty new single player and then a map pack for Halo Reach. No, there wasn’t wasn’t the original Halo CE multiplayer, just a map pack. Now let’s just hope that this has all the glitches that Halo 2 had such as BxR, BxB and double shots.
