In honor of the Playstation’s 20th Anniversary, The Greystation.

The human body is an incredible piece of design, and from an early age we have it slapped into us that there are five basic senses. Sight, touch, taste, happy & dopey or something along those lines. What they don’t tell you about is all of the hidden senses, that are there but not really talked about between we, the dumb public. My favourite sense is Proprioception. In layman’s terms it’s your personal awareness of yourself. It’s why when you have a zit brewing, your finger knows exactly where it is, how to get to it, and what pressure to apply to it, before you’ve even seen it the mirror. An example of this is if you close your eyes, you’ll always be able to touch your nose with your index finger. Your body is aware, and that’s pretty damn cool.

I figure since we have senses that we don’t really know about, that just happen to be there, there must also be senses that are complete bullshit. Like this one I’m about to make up. Nostalgia-ception. It’s one’s ability to feel old as hell, because something nostalgic has just effected you greatly.

I’ve just had a heavy dose of Nostalgia-ception, because today Sony are commemorating the TWENTY YEAR anniversary of PlayStation with a limited run of 12,300 Grey PlayStation 4s. Something I’ve affectionately called the GreyStation 4. The 12,300 is a nod to today’s date. Now it may be the Nostalgia kicking in here, in absolute overdrive but I’m going to throw myself out on a limb here, and say this is the best looking PS4 I’ve seen yet. There’s just something about it, that I truly love.

Sony have been on the ball, this generation – this further cements that (get it? Because it’s grey). Expect these GreyStation 4s to be on eBay really soon, at heavily inflated prices.

Ooooooo packaging.

Fancy.

Ooooooo unboxing.
