Alistair Overeem says the toughest fight was with himself back in 2006

Even if Alistair Overeem is fighting himself, he can still inadvertently hurt you in the process. A thumb war with Overeem will never end in you fully retaining your arm. There's no such thing as an 'arm wrestling' match with Alistair. Wrestling implies that one has a chance to win the bout -- it's more like a sacrifice to the MMA gods on behalf of Lord Reem.

Battling Overeem is an insurmountable task that can only result with a devastating knee to the head, torso -- basically any part of the body. Therefore we truly don't understand how Alistair had a physical battle with himself back in 2006. The guy is so quick that we can't fully comprehend how he would connect with himself. He's not foolish enough to catch his own chin with a knee, nor would his superb defense even allow it. That's why yesterday when we asked Overeem what was the toughest battle of his career, his answer made us just a tad perplexed.
