For UFC on Fuel TV: Munoz vs. Weidman, ZUFFA provided the press row with a dinner of chicken parmesan, vegetable pasta and Cesar salad with croutons. For dessert, media was presented with a choice of strawberry cheesecake, regular cheesecake and standard wedding cake with a light vanilla frosting. The drinks served was a variety of hot teas, coffee, bottles of water and an assortment of soft drinks. At the post-fight press conference, cookies and small butter biscuits were served along with a bowl of tasty trail mix.

That was the last time we saw Mark Munoz step foot in the Octagon. Since then, the world has seen two dance crazes in Gangam Style and the Harlem Shake. Both of which will never be discussed on MiddleEasy ever again. However, we will talk about Mark Munoz calling Hector Lombard's UFC career 'mediocre at best' in this brief interview.

Hector Lombard is suffering from what so many guys who were dominant outside the UFC suffer from... having to step up in competition. It's like going from the CFL to the NFL, sure Warren Moon did it really well, but there's lots of guys who haven't, guys who were stars in the CFL who struggled and were awful in the NFL, or were "mediocre at best". I'm very much hoping Gegard Mousasi doesn't end up the same way. Munoz vs Lombard would be an interesting fight though.

I have my doubts. Mousasi has encountered some bad/tough stylistic matchups already and he hasn't even fought (m)any top fighters yet. I'm willing to bet he gets flat outworked in his first couple UFC fights.

A draw against the Dean of Mean, even with a point taken away, gives me some doubts. I want to see him do well, I'm a huge fan of the guy, I think he's pound for pound one of the best fighters never to fight in the UFC (yet) and I think the fact that he's been dominant around the world in 3 different weight classes is awesome. BUT, this is the UFC. Can Mousasi beat guys like Machida, Teixeira, Evans, Rua... maybe a grudge match with Hendo to avenge his friend and former teammate, Fedor? I hope so, but time will tell. So far, being the best in the world outside of the UFC hasn't translated into being the best in the UFC for a ton of guys.

youve lost your damn mind if you think lombard could beat munoz...didnt you just see what okami did you him? now imagine that with more punching power. lombard is one loss away from getting cut and i hope it happens sooner rather then later. olympic level judoka and you dont use it..you deserve to be cut

It wouldn't go down the same way. Okami is notorious for giving top level guys fits the same way he did vs. Lombard. Stylistically he (Okami)is a nightmare for most middleweights, especially short stocky ones like Lombard. Munoz is well rounded but not nearly fast enough to avoid getting put on queer street when lightning opens up on him. Styles make fights, and it's a bad fight for Munoz.

Munoz seems like a likable guy (minus the god shit) His wrestling credentials are supposed to be good and shit, but his mma wrestling still sucks. His only assets are donkey punches . he spends 80 percent of his time gripping guys thighs without the takedowns against the cage. Lombard stuffs his tds easy and blasts his head off
