Just minutes ago HDNet Fights CEO, Andrew Simon, announced that Mayhem Miller vs. Kazushi Sakuraba, Joe Warren vs. Michihiro Omigawa and Gegard Mousasi vs. Tatsuya Mizuno will take place at Dream 16. Goodbye 209, hello Mr. Protein Water Liquor. Actually, it's more like The Gracie Hunter vs. The 209 Hunter. There may be some of you out there that are still yearning for that coveted Nick Diaz vs. Mayhem Miller bout that we all expected, but Sakuaba vs. any middleweight in MMA is reason to celebrate by drinking irresponsibly for the remainder of the evening.

Joe Warren vs. Omigawa will be the scrappiest fight in the history of everything, ever. With his Bellator featherweight championship bout going down September 2nd, Joe Warren will only have a twenty-three lay-off before he fights the man that can only be described as an eloquent blend of Carebear mixed with Manny Pacquiao. In fact, there are very few people left on this earth that are as raw as Michihiro Omigawa. At Sengoku 8, a promo was played of Omigawa screaming into the camera before his fight. If my English translation from broken English translation from Japanese translation is correct, before the bout he basically said '[Expletive] all of you who think I'm going to lose this fight' which was heard by the entire audience at the Yoyogi National Gymnasium. After he won, he got on the microphone and said he should get paid more money. If you were ever to assemble a team of X-men, this guy would be your second or third pick.

Finally, Andrew Simon announced that a Dream light heavyweight title bout will occur between Gegard Mousasi and Tatsuya Mizuno. You may not be that blown away by this fight, but anyone that can survive the early onsalught of Melvin Manhoef and still manage to grab the win via submission deserves whatever is thrown at him in MMA. Mizuno moved to the US to train with Matt Hume in Seattle this year, and at Dream 15, the results were evident. Sure another 205lber could have been penciled in for the Dream light heavyweight title fight, but Japan is trying to push one of their own to hold a belt in the organization and there's nothing wrong with that.

According to the poster, we still have bout announcements on the horizon from Kid Yamamoto, Tokoro, Minowaman, Shinya Aoki and Caol Uno so stay tuned...despite the fact that there is nothing to 'tune' to. Wow Two crazy characters in Mayhem and Saku...hard to route against either tbh!! All in all, should be a good fight as well as an all around good nite o' fights Which Gegard had a better opponent mind you, but Mizuno should be at least entertaining in watching get ko'd
