UPDATE 19:51 Eastern Time: Received independent confirmation from a source close to both Saki and Golden Glory that Saki is indeed out of Golden Glory. Glory has not finalized talks with K-1 yet and is apparently not working well with It's Showtime, so look carefully and put two and two together for other possible departures.

When it rains it pours. Earlier today it was announced that Alistair Overeem was leaving his home management and team of Golden Glory. Overeem has been a part of the Golden Glory umbrella for about twelve years now, since the formation of the team. Overeem has been described by Bas Boon as like "family" to him and the team, and Golden Glory trainer Martijn de Jong has been known to be very good friends with Alistair.

There has been a rumor that some of us have been sitting on for a while as it wasn't clear if it was ever going to come to fruition, but apparently it has. The latest rumor is that Gokhan Saki has also left team Golden Glory, but this has not been confirmed. LiverKick.com has reached out to Bas Boon for comment on this but have not heard back from him of yet. Generally speaking, we do not like to post rumors like this, but it has been a longstanding rumor, persisting for the better part of this year and with it coming out into the public's eye, now is as good of a time as any to talk about it.

Shitty management is Shitty I guess. Also, guessing there is a WHOLE Lot more to the Pay Discrepancy than what was 1st released, mind you always two sides to every coin. Makes you wonder if they werent totally fucking their Fighters over with the Pay from K1, which its looking more an more like, have a feeling K1 must have paid management who didnt bother paying their Bread and Butter, all in all, GG is making M1 Global look like Saints
Have a feeling a New team is gonna be formed consisting of GG fighters, sides Alistar, would be cool if Marloes can get another crack at the big leagues..IF SF is gonna even promote em anymore :/

That's not really true.

K-1 owes Bas Boon, personally, about 1.5 million dollars. Not all of GG are bad guys. Bas and Martijn are really, legitimately great guys as are the guys in the US.

Bas got sick and things went to shit.

Whats not true??? I never said anything is/was, all speculation on my part, hence the Guessing. If you know something more to the story then we do or is being let on, please, let it out.
If K1 owes Bas 1.5 does that include the money for Alistar if Management was indeed haveing pay forwarded thru them?> Or what is the money to Bas owed for??
With everyone leaving Golden Glory, theres obviously more the the story then being let out as AO isnt going to leave over petty shit, nor would Gokhan..so once again, what did I say, that wasnt true???

the news i'm hearing is really weird, It seems Einimo and siyar bahadurzada are now in the UFC, but overeem,saki and apperently nieky holzken has also left, imo those 3 guys (next 2 schilt) are the big boys from GG.. A massive blow if you ask me
