Why is this an Interim title fight? Seems unnecessary when Champions like Anderson Silva have gone that kind of distance between fights before, like right now for instance.

GSP's legacy is going to be known as nothing more than a L&P fighter who won decisions to retain the WW title once he got it back from Serra. He will be know as a guy who actually said he doesn't see how fighting Anderson Silva would help his career. Lol oh I don't know maybe beating a guy who is the .lb for .lb best fighter on planet earth would cement your position among the sports all time greats?

Now that he's getting alittle bit older his body is starting to break down. When his career is over & he's out of the sport he's gonna look back & ask himself why didn't I finish those fights. If I would've finished my opponents more often there would be no question that he would be considered one of the .lb for .lb all time greats. But the damage is done. He can't go back & change how he won. Bottom line is this having all those decision W's in your record is great, but its notgonna get you into the conversation on fighters who changed the sport. Fuck eh, that WW title sure is a hard title to get more than one fight a year outta of. Either way, as Ive said a million times before, THIS was gonna happen at some point for the title, just didnt think was gonna be that fast/soon. I see this fight going down as the Best fight ever/Fight of the Year. Two of the best 'Fighters' going at it, between these two, hard to find a better matchup that could potentially lead to teh Greatest fight ever. Hard to call this one as both guys are Top notch an two of my favs. An aside from GSP Carlos' is probably the only other WW that can keep the same pace as Nick, who better not stick his chin out too much cuz if NBK catches him flush, its nighty night. Epic fight is Epic though!!!

No words. GSP is really making himself look pretty bad right now. I won't deny the fact I am a Diaz fan and was rooting for him, but I am also a GSP fan, and this is turning into a huge joke. Edgar has defended his title 3 times in a year and a half and GSP is at like 6 in 4 years? Did I not just see him in a video doing gymnastics a month after he was supposedly so hurt he couldn't fight Condit? I am not a doctor, but doing a sport that is that hard on your knees after having to pull out of a fight because you hurt your knee just seems stupid to me.

GSP: Out with an Injury. JDS: Out with an injury. Anderson Silva: Out with an injury. This happens WAY too often in the UFC. The champions win a fight and then claim they got hurt in the win and are therefore out with an injury for almost a year. What a stupid, stupid sport!
Who else has done this? Cain Velasquez: Beat Brock Lesnar and then didn't defend the title for 1 year. Matt Serra: Beat GSP then sat out for over 1 year. Shogun Rua: won Title from Machida then went for surgery, didn't defend for 10 months.. on and on... Domenic Cruz did it, Frankie Edgar has done it.. they all do it....

I don't really care who of the three fight. As long as there is actually a fight.
