Josh Barnett will get another fight in Strikeforce before their heavyweight division is dismantled

I'm over the Josh Barnett Affliction steroid scandal. Now I will move onto other pertinent things like why would this action figure of Josh Barnett have three severed hands included in the package? What kind of demented toy maker would do that? The message they're sending to kids is that anyone can comfortably possess up to three severed hands and society will be alright with it. Just put them in your backpack children, your teachers won't mind. Severed hands are the new Pokemon cards. Trade them with your friends and collect them all.

Two years ago, Dana White stated in an interview with Ariel Helwani that Josh Barnett will never fight in the UFC again. We're assuming this would also apply to if Josh Barnett defeated Daniel Cormier at last weekend's Strikeforce Heavyweight Grand-Prix. However, that's a hypothetical scenario, sort of like what would modern rock music would be like if Jimi Hendrix never died from -- whatever he died from. Sergio Non from USA Today discovered that while Daniel Cormier is contractually obligated to fight in Strikeforce once more before transitioning to the UFC, Josh Barnett will also get another fight within Strikeforce.

One could naturally assume that since the Strikeforce heavyweight division has been expunged from the organization, the only competitors that Josh Barnett and Daniel Cormier have are each other. If both fighters do rematch and Josh Barnett is victorious, will he still be denied entry to the UFC? Questions like this make me want to go back to bed and embrace the warmth of my Target comforter.
