Am I the only person that's been following Michelle Lopez's fascination with Roger Huerta on Twitter? I simply can't be, in fact I would be lying if I told you that I didn't methodically watch every YouTube video she's published, convincing people that she's not stalking the former UFC fighter. It's like an on-going soap opera that the world can tune on (and off) at any point in time. My god this internet -- there is just nothing better.
For those that are uninitiated in the Michelle Lopez vs. Roger Huerta saga, I'll provide a brief summary free of charge. Feel free to skip ahead to the next paragraph if you're not interested in having your brain implode inside your skull from sheer amazement. From what I've pieced together over the months of Michelle slowly leaking info to the public, last November she drove 1,200 miles from Boulder, Colorado to Pharr, Texas to see Roger Huerta fight War Machine in the debut event of a local promotion entitled 'UWF.' From the brief encounter the two had after the fight (documented in this picture), her fascination evolved into something that has now been cemented in MMA history. Michelle begin writing an entire book that documented her encounter and 'playful obsession' with Roger Huerta. When Huerta got word of an entire manuscript being created in his name -- egh, it wasn't well received. Of course that didn't deter Michelle Lopez. In fact, she actually released a YouTube video entitled 'Don't be scared homie' in an attempt to nullify her detractors. Now she's released a free chapter of her book and also claims she will be on the Dr. Phil show to discuss her 'thing' with Roger Huerta. Feel free to follow all the hot love drama on her Twitter page.
Late Friday night it was announced that Phil Baroni will be fighting in the upcoming ONE FC: Destiny of Warriors card against the newly signed Roger Huerta on June 23rd in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Don't worry, we'll be there to cover the event live and we can guarantee that we will ask Roger Huerta what's going on with this Michelle Lopez.
