Despite being unhappy Urijah Faber is promising an awesome fight against Renan Barao

Wow, it is not a very good time to be Urijah Faber. First he is starved of his rubber match with Dominic Cruz, then Dana “straight out lied” to him about his replacement being Renan Barao, there are rumours that Dana won't let Faber change his entrance music and now the fight he was told he wasn't getting is being moved a few weeks from UFC 148 to UFC 149 as a replacement for the injured Aldo who pulled out of his fight with Erik Koch. Phew! What's next? Kenny Florian opening a gym across the street from Team Alpha Male, resulting in Faber and co forming a dodgeball team to save their business? To be fair, that would actually be pretty sweet. Or, in the parlance of the California Kid, it would be awesome. That's how he described his expectations for the Barao fight. As he told ABC News 10:

“I'm really not happy about all the changes, but there is nothing I can do. The worst part about it I had a lot people coming to support me, because I had been promoting the same date for the past four months. I was really happy to be a part of that. But my event is going to be awesome as well. Barao and myself have a chance to be fight of the year”

If everyone had the cheerful disposition of Urijah Faber, the world would be a very different place. Hospitals would be exceptionally cheery and theme parks would see a 100% rise in happiness explosions, with people being so happy they literally burst. Philosophers would have to invent pessimism as it would be a metaphysical construct. Two things which would not change are that WEC would still be the best MMA organisation Zuffa ever bought over and dissolved and Urijah Faber vs Renan Barao would still have the potential to be fight of the year.
