Chael Sonnen is the leader of a pack of verbal martial artists that you never knew existed. They may still not exist, but if they do, Chael Sonnen is undoubtedly the general commander of them. Sonnen treats the English language like it owes him money. He's the world champion of 'Words with Friends' and every game he's played under the influence of TRT.

While Anderson Silva had a plethora of conveniently translated words to relay back to Chael Sonnen via the UFC 148 conference call, Sonnen used a recent interview with ESPN.com to respond to all of the linguistic grenades that were tossed at him earlier this week.

"He says he's going to knock out my teeth and break my jaw and break my head and all this," Sonnen said. "He acts like I've never been to the orthodontist.

"I've fought 49 men, all professionals. He acts like I've never had a jaw set before. He acts like I've never had my head stapled shut in an emergency room before.

"Who gives a damn? He can do all those things." he added. "But one thing he didn't say is that he's going to beat me. One thing he didn't say he'd break is my will. One thing he didn't say he'd do is win this fight. We'll be in the middle of a cage stupid; I'd expect you to do those things."

"I don't care where he's at (mentally)," Sonnen said. "There's no gamesmanship or anything else. I simply don't care where he's at. I focus purely on myself.

"Anderson's a (jerk) and he always has been," he said. "And it came out (Monday); that was nice to see.

"I've been trying to reveal him for quite a while now, so it's nice when that finally came out. But that was it. That was the end of my joy."

We're ten days away from UFC 148: Silva vs. Sonnen II and while you're likely gearing up for the PPV event in the comfort of your living room, I'll be fighting for elbow domination cageside on press row. Damn, a tough life to lead.

You act like Silva somehow caught up to Chael in the war of words in this one interview, which is completely untrue.

Like a true gangster, Chael isn't afraid. He let Silva's words roll off his back like a man would. Chael has been cool, calm and collected during this entire situation with Silva, but Silva pops off at the mouth and basically says he's going to kill a man inside the Octagon. He let his emotions get the best of him, just like a little child would.

Chael is still absolutely the only man in this situation. Haters can keep hating. And while you do it, remember that you'll be handing all of your money over to Mr. Sonnen on July 7th because he's the only one that has ever attempted to make this rivalry interesting. The two title fights with Chael are literally the only title fights Silva has ever had where people gave two shits about paying for it and watching it.

Anderson Silva has no fans, but Sonnen has garnered so much interest in both of their fights that Andy will get paid big time. He should be thanking Chael that he knows how to actually work the media and fans into a frenzy.

First off I hate Sonnen. Fuck I hate that guy and the stuff he says. I understand he was a US politician and in the US politicians act like sales men and fight promoters which is sad and misleading.

Although I loved Anderson's rant, that was all Dana's doing IMO. This was Dana and Ed telling Silva to do that. If anyone else has seen "Like Water" (Silva documentary),

You saw how poorly Silva's manager Ed translates stuff (which Anderson shouldn't allow) and also how Silva would never say anything more than "We'll see what happens in the cage". Immediately after that Ed would get a call from Dana and a hole torn in him for Anderson not talking shit like Sonnen.

I preferred how Silva took a classy approach instead of crossing the line like Sonnen and getting personal and talking about family and bashing Brazil and their fighters. Dana on the other hand seems to prefer the unclassy shit talking approach to get American knuckleheads excited.

I hope Sonnen gets fucked up bad, but I also hope until the fight happens there is no more stupid shit talking, its really just annoying now. That shit talking should stay in fake wrestling where it belongs and not a real sport.

It was proven before the first fight that Chael has written material that he uses, he has goofers in the audience for example at a q&a session that ask him a question that he has setup then answers it with his pre-written material. The reason it's taken him time to respond is because his writers haven't come up with any good material yet so he's probably had to go with his own stuff.
