Without NeoCell Sport and Throwdown, every episode of 'Ronda Rousey's Trip to the 209' would just reside in the corner of your mind where all of that 'impossible to imagine' stuff lives. We pitched the idea months ago, they dug it, which automatically implies that all of you should support everything they're about. They were cool enough to support the project, so in turn we're going to love them until the day we die -- or the earth blows up from the 2012 Mayan Apocalypse.

You know it's coming, folks. All we have are but a few more months until we have to come to grips with our own mortality. The Olympics are for "amateur" atheletes, those who do not make their livelyhood by the sport they compete in.

The one caveat is in basketball where after 1988 the rules were changed. The NBA was invited to become a part of USA Basketball, and it was determined that NBA players would play in the Olympics and World Championships with college and other young players continuing to represent the U.S. in all other international competition.

In Ronda's case she has transitioned from being an amateur into being a pro because she now makes her living as a professional athlete being paid to do so.

Without this rule in effect you would likely see things like Manny Pacquiao represent the Philippines in the Boxing category against amateurs from other countries.

So this is why Ronda is not representing our country at the Olympics.
