Today I will embark my voyage into the land of vegetarianism, just like UFC welterweight contender Jake Shields. PETA even used the guy in an ad campaign last year, as well as Mac Danzig. I'm finished with meat, folks and it's all attributed to that inescapable ad on MiddleEasy. By default by converting to vegetarianism, my wrestling should elevate to the level of Jake Shields in his match against Ed Herman.

We're sure Francisco over at DstryrSG is going to dive head first into this bout since it was comprised entirely of ground play. In fact, nothing satisfies my palette more than two men on top of each other for nearly fifteen minutes. In the end, Jake Shields used his body to completely control everything about Ed Herman -- including his past, present, and future. Props to Shields on a resounding win, and if anyone sees Gilbert Melendez at Jake's after party, be sure to tell him that I have a green MiddleEasy shirt shrink wrapped, waiting for him.

That is one of the reasons why I am a GSP fan. He could have probably knocked out Shields but he went against Shields' strength and outdecisioned him. GSP is a stud.

dude seriously jake shields cant fight fight at this level. he can hold somebody down but he cant hurt somebody or sub somebody to save his life. he will never be a threat in the WW or MW div in the UFC. i dont understand how after all these years he still doesnt know how to strike with power or sub somebody? he can have the best position on somebody in the world, and STILL cant finish somebody. he can sit right on another fighters chest, throw down punches from a full postured position, and STILL not get a KO or ever a tko. i dont get it at all and im just sooo dumbfounded by how he manages to be the best terrible fighter i have ever seen in my entire life. like he is such a BADDD fighter, but he has beautiful grappling technique and can compete with the worlds best... ughhh...

idk, i i think he should spend the next training camp doing nothing but punching a heavybag and grappling dummy or something till he learns and developes power. hopefully then i'll see the "real" jake shields

You know it's a Jake Shields fight when he gets a full mount multiple times and can't finish a guy.

Remember his fight against Hendo? Of the 25 minutes spent fight, about 23 minutes of that saw Shields sit in the mount doing fuck all. This guy is terrible.

Say what you want about John Fitch, but that man works on the ground. Shields just fucking gives his opponents friction rashes.

Unwatchable.

Jake Shields is the most unwatchable fighter in the elite class of UFC fighters.

He's slow. He's poorly conditioned. He can't strike. He's not easy to knock out. He's good enough at one thing to make him effective. His use of his best tool is so robotic that its like sitting down and doing math homework.

He's unwatchable. Mayhem Miller is a clumsier JJ guy and he's more entertaining to watch - by far.
