The internet in 2015 is no place for typos. For Fox Sport’s personality Katie Nolan she found out how serious mixed martial arts fans take their typing. Even if you correct your grammar or spelling mistake approximately three minutes later, the internet will be there to remind you and argue with you about every minor detail.
Thanks for nothing Al Gore.
Like most of the free world on Friday night Nolan was taking in the sights and sounds of the Spike TV Kimbo Slice versus Ken Shamrock prize fight. Probably after eating some takeout while in a pair of comfy pants, Nolan decided to tweet about MMA and the Slice vs. Shamrock brand of fist-a-cuffs.
First Nolan tweeted this
Oh ok so this was fixed. Oh ok. Because I already didn’t feel scummy enough watching a free UFC fight on a Friday night. Fuck.
— Katie Nolan (@katienolan) June 20, 2015
Then she tweeted this
Sorry. Not UFC. UFC’s weird creepy “uncle” that isn’t actually related. You know what I meant.
— Katie Nolan (@katienolan) June 20, 2015
Then everyone who has every read a MMA article on the worldwide web, jumped at the chance to attack and debate Nolan about the merits of professional cage fighting. This was not going to end well.
@Hof23 UFC isn’t scummy. Staying in to watch a free fight between two 90 year olds is.

@BVandDietPepsi it’s a joke at bellator’s expense, not UFC’s. I don’t understand how you could not understand that? Have a good night Luke

@katienolan I don’t think you know how dives work. 1) He is 51 years old. 2) You don’t get hit square in the head by a 240-pound man.

@katienolan It wasn’t enjoyable but neither was it a dive. It was a car crash between two old hoopties.

@pegson do I work UFC events? It was an honest mistake that I corrected. You should relax

Oh there is more. Much more ramblings of a very hardcore fan base. Slice vs. Shamrock wasn’t the fight the MMA world needed but maybe it was the one deep down they truly deserved?
